Anna is one of Australia’s most experienced Voice Coaches in the Arts, Entertainment & Media.
Anna is highly skilled, thorough, and dedicated. She helps people to develop vocal, performance & presentation skills.
Anna’s coaching includes film, television, streaming, theatre, music theatre, TVC & animation projects. Her most recent film is RELIC, coaching Emily Mortimer. Her most recent mainstage show was the London Old Vic’s A Christmas Carol in Australia, starring David Wenham, where Anna coached the entire cast in Dialects and Text work.
Anna is Voice/Dialect Coach with Melbourne Theatre Company (MTC) for more than 55 shows and coaches voice technique, dialects, acting & singing in her private studio.
Business, higher learning, and media Anna spent a decade as Voice and Presentation Trainer for The Age Online news delivery service, Fairfax Digital & Domain. She delivers workshops and 1:1 sessions in Voice & Presentation at The University of Melbourne & Monash University – for both Academic & Professional staff.
Guest Lectures/Workshops in Voice/Dialects & Presentation at Monash University, the National Performance Conference, The Equity Foundation, ANATS, Latrobe University, Patrick Studios Music Theatre. She has taught Spoken Voice at the Victorian College of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts- Musical Theatre.
EDUCATION– Anna has a BA from Queensland University, is an Associate of Trinity College, London (Teacher) and AMEB, Australia (Teacher with Distinction). Anna is also a graduate of the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts where she trained as an actor. She worked professionally as an actor for 25 years in Australia in all areas of the industry – theatre, music theatre, cabaret, voiceovers, commercials, simulated patients, film & television.
She brings her expertise as a professional performer to all areas of her work.
At the same time, Anna has established herself as an Independent Producer & Director. As In the Company of Pleasure she produced and directed the works of US playwright Wallace Shawn (yes, the guy from ‘The Princess Bride’) for a decade in Australia & NZ (including Melbourne Festival 2002). Anna most recently directed & dramaturged ‘e-baby’ (by Jane Cafarella) as well as 3 Aust/NZ touring productions of Shakespeare with Essential Theatre and BraveHearts for the Australian Shakespeare Company.
Anna has participated in workshops with Voice teachers Patsy Rodenburg, Kristin Linklater, and Catherine Fitzmaurice.
Anna was awarded Outstanding Contribution to the Melbourne Stage by the Victorian Green Room Association.
